Bethany Kids ministry serves children from birth to 5th grade. We see ministry to children as critically important. After all, we are developing the next generation of leaders which we believe is a privilege not to be taken lightly. We delight in providing our children with a true and enriched experience in God. We accomplish this through biblically-sound teaching, in a fun, warm, and accepting environment.

Sunday Mornings

Children’s Church
Birth – 5th Grade
10:30 AM

Kids leave the sanctuary after worship and before the sermon.

Kids are grouped in age-appropriate classes.

The current curriculum is the Gospel Project for Kids.

Child Care available during 9:30 am Lifeline (Sunday School).

Wednesday Nights

BMC Music classes
5:45 – 6:30 pm

Awana
6:30 – 8:00 pm
Christ centered club for children aged 2-5th grade
Interactive Large group sessions

Shameka Strong

Minister of Children and Families

Shameka joined the staff of Bethany in November 2018. Shameka holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Accounting and Finance from Austin Peay State University and a Master of Divinity/Leadership from Liberty Divinity School. She also is a veteran having served in the United States Army. Prior to joining Bethany, Shameka worked in child and youth services for over ten years. She has served as a child and youth advisor, mentor, and as a leader in a liturgical dance ministry. Shameka’s favorite scripture verse is Romans 12:2, and her life mission can be summed up as, “… intentional to reflect Christ in all areas of my life.”
